Shipping Policy

1. Overview

The artist ships original artworks within South Africa and internationally. All orders are packaged with professional care to ensure safe delivery and include shipping insurance.

By placing an order, you agree to the terms outlined below:

2. Processing Time

  • Orders are processed once full payment has cleared.

  • Processing typically takes 14 business days, depending on the framing  requirements.

  • You will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information once the artwork leaves the studio.

3. Shipping Methods

The artist partners with reliable couriers experienced in transporting artwork, including:

  • DHL Express (international)

  • FedEx (international)

  • The Courier Guy (SA domestic)

  • RAM Couriers (SA domestic)

  • MDS Collivery (SA domestic)

The courier used may vary based on your location, artwork size, and shipping destination.

4. Shipping Insurance

Shipping insurance is included in the purchase price. Once the artwork has been collected by the courier:

  • The courier assumes responsibility for safe delivery.

  • The loss or damage during transit must be claimed through the courier’s insurance process.

  • The artist will assist with documentation if required.

  • The artist is not liable for courier delays, loss, damage, or customs handling.

5. Delivery Times

5.1 Framing Lead Times

The artworks require framing prior dispatch. Where framing is required, please allow up to 14 days from the date of order for the framing process to be completed.

  • If an artwork is already framed, the additional framing lead time will not apply.

  • Whether an artwork requires framing will be communicated on a case-by-case basis, depending on the artwork purchased.

5.2 Shipping Times

Once the artwork is ready for dispatch (whether immediately or after framing):

Local Shipping (South Africa): Estimated delivery time is 3–7 business days after courier collection.

International Shipping: Estimated delivery time is 7–21 business days, depending on:

  • Destination country

  • Courier availability

  • Customs processing times

5.3 Important Notes on Delivery

Delivery times are estimates only. Actual delivery may vary due to courier delays, customs processing, holidays, or external factors beyond the artist’s control. Buyers will be notified once the artwork has been shipped and tracking details will be provided.

6. Customs, Duties & Taxes (International Orders)

International buyers are responsible for:

  • Customs fees

  • Import taxes

  • VAT

  • Clearance charges

These costs are not included in the artwork price unless specified.

7. Incorrect Shipping Information

The customer is responsible for providing accurate shipping details. Ann is not liable for:

  • Packages delivered to incorrect addresses given at checkout

  • Delays caused by address errors

​

8. Packaging

All artworks are packaged using fine-art–appropriate materials to ensure durability and protection.

If you receive a parcel with visible external damage, please photograph it immediately before opening and document the condition to support any courier claim.
